Overview:

The Purple Tang has a very beautiful vibrant colour. It acclimates readily to captivity; just ensure that you have well designed hiding places in which it can dash to if and when frightened. It would be advisable to keep plant material within your aquarium as this species grazes throughout the day, if this isn’t possible then just ensure that you feed it plant material several times daily (a large sheet of algae can be used).
